Daryl’s journey through a shattered but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. Impressed with the new spin-off
(2023). Seeing Daryl waking up on the beach reminded me of Rick waking up in his hospital bed after The World Ended (almost). The French actors, thankfully, speak French and are very convincing and quite fascinating. Two caveats though: don’t make it a mega production.
Third remark perhaps: don’t turn it into another The Last of Us, because that would be pointless, boring and unimaginative
with thousands of instantly forgotten nameless props AND don’t introduce a new NEGAN, because that would ruin the series for me. . . .
As several people have already noted, this new series is a lot like the beginning of the original series: fresh, scary, exciting and surprising
