Hodge is the third actor to portray Cross
A series adaptation of James Patterson’s novels about the complex and brilliant detective Alex Cross. He follows in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman, who first portrayed him in the 1997 film Kiss the Girls and again in the 2001 film.
James Patterson’s novels were my favourites, and for me Aldis Hodge is the perfect Alex Cross
sequel to Along Came a Spider; and Tyler Perry as the title character in 2012’s Alex Cross, which bombed at the box office and led Lionsgate to scrap a previously planned sequel, Double Cross. I always liked her character in Leverage, but this role shows another range of her acting.
Their interactions at her birthday party were gold
It goes without saying, Ryan Eggold plays a thoroughly evil villain. The story unfolds, revealing surprises and unexpected relationships.
My slow burn
I agree with another commenter that the editing needs to lighten the scenes. Too dark and impairs viewing.
Hopefully they plan to make this a regular series
Character development is strong and it is easy to get involved in friendships and family dynamics.
