Scenario
After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot named Roz finds herself stranded on an uninhabited island
To survive the harsh environment, Roz connects with the island’s animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose. Lupita Nyong’o sits down with writer-director Chris Sanders to talk about notable credits and their time together making The Wild Robot. According to writer Peter Brown, the inspiration for “The Wild Robot” came from a sketch he made of a robot in a tree.
A post-credits scene
He asked the question, “What would an intelligent robot do in the wilderness?” When the fox enters the cabin, a moose near the door growls, but the sound effect used is a recording of a bear. I was lucky enough to catch a preview screening of “The Wild Robot,” and it has quickly become one of my favorite films of the year.
This beautifully animated film is more than just family-friendly; it’s an emotional and thought-provoking experience
From the stunning visuals to the emotional story, “The Wild Robot” “The Wild Robot” delivers powerful messages about empathy, connection, and what it means to belong. The film effortlessly blends lighthearted moments with deeper emotional themes, making it an instant classic for me. I was an emotional wreck (in the best way possible) for most of the film, completely immersed in the story and the characters’ experiences.
It’s rare to find an animated film that touches so deeply, and I can’t recommend it enough
“The Wild Robot” is a true 10/10, and I can’t wait to see how it touches others just like it did me. Check out our list of exciting new films from this year’s film festivals, including Venice, TIFF, the New York Film Festival, and more.
