For example, sometimes the narration is directed at Cate Blanchett's character about her own experience, which is just strange. Sacha Baron Cohen seems out of place and gets weirdly hysterical at times.It's all a bit bizarre.

Another well-made series that builds its immediate world with the detail of setting, characters (and subterfuge), essential elements of good storytelling

If you’re just discovering the show now that Season 2 has come out, you should do yourself a favor and watch Season 1 first – it’s a good story, offering depth of characters and situations that will add to your enjoyment.

Highly recommended: Oldman and Kristin Scott-Thomas are fantastic, as are Jack Lowden and Saskia Reeves

Season 2 seems to have upped the ante in terms of set design and cinematography – it really paid off and elevated the show above the usual, weekly soap opera routine.
