Scenario
In Mexico, a lawyer receives an unexpected offer to help a dangerous cartel leader get out of business and disappear forever, becoming the woman he always dreamed of being. Carla Sofia Gascon talks about the two years of preparation that went into this difficult role in Jacques Audiard’s film, and about the two extremes of her own personality that she had to play in the roles of Emilia and Manitas. Jacques Audiard said that the idea of the musical was inspired by the novel’s chapter about a drug dealer who tries to change his personality.

Comedy, drama, action, thriller, self-exploration AND MUSICAL
(first viewing) Format: Regular theater Rating: 8/10 I’m surprised how this film can be so much at the same time. He balances each genre and gives it enough time so that it doesn’t seem too big. Every actor in this movie is outstanding, especially Zoe Saldana in the first half of the movie and Carla Sofia Gascon in the second half of the movie, who played two roles perfectly in this film.
Unfortunately, everything related to Selena Gomez in terms of her acting and character required more effort
A very weak character who was just a filler to complicate the situation for the main character and the events of the story. Although musicals are not my thing, this film handled this part in such a unique way that it made every performance of the song creative in terms of direction and lyrics. The two songs that really caught my attention were the one that touched on the political aspect in Mexico that had such a creative and unique direction.
The second one really proved Zoe Saldana’s performance, as she was gorgeous with all the darkness and minimal lighting she had
